Just saw a new site launch www.sproutbuilder.com that allows you to build flash based widgets which you can drop just about any where. Such as myspace, blogs, or just about any site that allows you to embed javascript.These widgets appear to be highly interactive and media rich. I can see them fitting in perfect in the creation of affiliate marketing ads. Due to the amount of information that can be presented. Also I can see affiliate marketers promoting their widgets to be used in other people’s sites besides their own and with Sproutbuilder they are able to track usage. Overall a win win for marketers.

Besides its use in affiliate marketing, just being able to create flash based widgets without the need of the Adobe Flash editor is huge. Because now the casual user can do it and based on the user interface I have seen it it seems very intuitive. Another big plus is that users do not need to purchase Adobe’s Flash software thus saving users a whole bunch of cash.

On a side note: Sproubuilder seems to be located in San Francisco and my hometown Honolulu. Props to the peeps who have worked on this.
